If these eyebrows don’t get you, I don’t know what will! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Toad, a 2 and a half years old Miniature Australian Shepherd mix from Brandon, South Dakota. Toad is up to date on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, and has been neutered and microchipped. This cute little guy adores cats and does OK with small laid-back dogs.

Toad’s Tale

When his previous owner had a change of circumstances in their life, they had to surrender Toad to shelter. Luckily, Toad’s misfortune with his previous family didn’t impact his beautiful personality. He is a sweet, loving, smart boy who only wants to have a furever family of his own. Toad tends to form strong attachments to his family, and he is prone to separation anxiety because of it. He will want to spend every second with you and be included in all your activities, so it would be better if he goes to a family where someone is always around for Toad to lovingly follow around.

Toad is energetic, active and extremely intelligent. He is fully housetrained and knows commands such as sit, stay, and down. Ideally, his new family would live in a house with a backyard or on a farm, where Toad could get the exercise he needs- all the while hanging with his peeps. Because, don’t be fooled by his love for hiking, exploring, and squeaky toys. What Toad loves best is snuggles, cuddles, and being showered by love. He truly is a cuddle bug in every sense of the word.

His sweet nature extends towards other animals, too. Toad adores cats and gets along with other smaller dogs or puppies. With canines, he needs a bit of adjusting before he is really relaxed around them.

Also, you might be wondering why this fella got the name Toad in the first place- that’s because he is an excellent flycatcher! I mean, is there anything this cutie pie can’t do? If you are interested in making this wonderpup a part of your family, contact B-Squad Dog Rescue for more information.
