During FreeKibble.com’s March Kibble Madness, shelter animals win!

March Madness starts tomorrow, and even if you’re not a basketball fan, FreeKibble.com will have you picking sides and cheering for an animal mascot. So get ready for the 3rd Annual March Kibble Madness!

Starting tomorrow and running until April 8, FreeKibble.com will be donating 100 Halo meals (from Halo Pets) to shelter pets each time a team that has a dog or cat as a mascot wins! We’re not huge basketball fans here, but we did do a little research of teams with a dog or cat mascot that you should totally cheer for:

We’re going to throw our cheers behind the Gonzanga Bulldogs. After a quick tutorial from some of the basketball-savvy guys in the office, we hear that they’ve got a pretty good team… plus, their mascot is a super-cute bulldog! Go Gonzanga!

    Go Gonzanga Bulldogs!

During the 3rd Annual March Kibble Madness, FreeKibble.com and Halo will also donate one meal to shelter pets for every new Facebook like each page receives. And you should also check out FreeKibble.com while you’re at it. It was started up five years ago by 11-year-old Mimi Ausland. Go to the site every day to answer a pet related trivia question. For every question answered (right or wrong), Freekibble.com donates 10 pieces of Halo Spot’s Stew kibble to shelter pets. The site averages about 1.5 million meals a year now, thanks to so many loyal daily players!

So who are you going to cheer for? Tell us your picks in the comment section below.
