Right now, my kitchen smells better than any air freshener you could buy at Bath & Body Works. It’s all thanks to this new Ginger Snaps Dog Treat Recipe I’m whipping up. The scent of ginger, molasses and cinnamon fills the air. I’m so hungry I may have to wrestle Oscar for one of these treats when they done! But he’s already standing guard of the oven, just waiting for them to come out. I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to resist those puppy dog eyes. Maybe he’ll split one with me…

Ginger Snaps Dog Treat Recipe

Makes about 25-30 cookies

Ingredients:

4 cups whole wheat flour

1/4 cup freshly shredded ginger

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 tablespoon honey

1 cup water

1 cup molasses

1/4 cup olive oil

Directions:

I’m happy to report that these treats turned out perfectly, but Oscar was unwilling to share. Just to get even, I may take his favorite squeaky monkey when he’s not looking (I’m petty that way).
