Something Smells Fishy… It’s Tuna, In His First VW Ad! [Video]

Tuna melts your heart in this adorable Volkswagen commercial.

Don’t you love when a social media site makes someone a bona fide star? Just look at Tuna Melts My Heart (aka Phteven). The Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachsund mix) with a pronounced overbite became an Instagram sensation, and caught the attention of Volkwagen, who made her the star of its latest commercial.

In an attempt to debunk the myth that diesel fuel stinks, Volkswagen has produced a series of commercials featuring a group of sassy seniors (they’re trying to put these old wives tales to rest… get it?!). In this ad highlighting the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Clean Diesel, the ladies are trying to figure out where that strange smell is coming from – quoting one of the ladies, it smells like “marinated camel crap.” Well, guess who farted? Yep… Tuna did it!

We love that Courtney Dasher, Tuna’s mom, donates part of her proceeds to the ASPCA, as well as to the rescuer who originally found Tuna.

Watch the commercial below – we guarantee that Tuna will melt your heart and tears to your eyes (from laughing, not the Tuna smell, because this ad is seriously funny!).
