Cabanas, tropical breezes, and beach babes – it’s like your pet is there! Parasol Pet Beds launches a Kickstarter campaign that’ll transport your pet to the lap of luxury.

Parasol Pets designed quality, luxurious beds for furbabies that cater to the intrinsic love of denning cats and small dogs have. The ever-popular Luxury Cushion is a made of a molded foam that gives your pet comfort with the luxury of a suede cloth covering. It’s machine washable, which is key for pet beds, as we often find them so hard to keep clean with the day-to-day activities of our curious pets, and it sits inside a beautiful pedestal base that mimics ornate carved stone.

The folks at Parasol Pets knew their patented bed designs were a hit, and they took to their cat-sumer base to see what other designs might work well within their line. Overwhelmingly, customers wanted to give their pets a little taste of a personal paradise, and Parasol Pets responded with their new “Tropical Retreat” bed.

It’s just like the other beautiful beds that Parasol Pets is known for, but with soothing green cushioning and umbrella to help your pet imagine being right in the sea breeze. The base is made of the same safe and durable material you’d find in lawn furniture and gives support for the oh-so-cushy cushion your pet will want to curl right up in.

The Palm Leaf Umbrella was inspired by tropical palm fronds, and customers have likened the look to a little cabana just for their pet. And, according to the work of Claudia Vinke, Ethologist of Utrecht University in the Netherlands, the Tropical Retreat Bed provides pets with the stress relief they find in having boxes (or box-like dens) in which they can nest. These ‘dens’ allow pets to get used to surroundings easier and faster, as well as helps lower stress levels, which allows for more human interaction with their pet parents.

The campaign is looking to be fully funded by May 2017 for delivery, and comes with reasonable rewards that start at $25 and go up to $200, which includes the generous option to have ten of the Parasol Pet Beds delivered to Wayside Waifs in Kansas City, Missouri. Wayside Waifs is the largest no-kill pet adoption center in Kansas City, and the beds would certainly make a difference to so many shelter animals as they wait for their forever homes!
