There’s a lot of love in this little fella! Meet Etienne, our Adoptable Dog of the Week. He’s an adult Chihuahua from San Francisco, CA. Etienne is already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Etienne’s Story:

Etienne is an adorable, spunky little 7lb. Chihuahua. He is white with tan spots, a fluffy tail, and big brown eyes. He is 7 years old, but has tons of energy, and is in perfect health. TinTin, as we call him for short, loves going for long walks, and then curling up in a sunny place. He is a perfect companion in the car. He settles down with no jumping around or whining. He previously lived with one dog, and currently lives with three dogs and a cat in his foster home. While he seems to be getting along fine with his “pack”, he does not do well meeting other dogs outside. We are working on his social skills, but he may not be a dog park dog. He is very food motivated, so training is not hard.

Etienne’s ideal home would be with someone who could be home with him most of the time, and has had experience handling small dogs. He can sometimes be snappy, but is easy to leash. And he even loves being dressed in his striped sweater! We think he would love being an only pet so that he could get all the attention. He can live with other animals, but they should be confident as he can be feisty.

Thanks to a generous grant from Maddie’s Adoption Fund, Etienne’s adoption fee has been waived through the end of 2014!
