This loving doggo is patiently waiting for her happily ever after! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Gucci, a 2 years old Texas Heeler mix from Seattle, Washington. This beautiful gal is spayed, up to date on her shots, housebroken, and crate-trained. Gucci is a friendly dog that does well with other canines but hasn’t been tested around cats or small kids.

Gucci’s Tale

Gucci was found as a stray with her sibling, roaming around and Texas, and had the good luck to be picked up by a rescue. She blossomed in her foster home and is now looking for a family to call her own! This pretty pooch is quite well-mannered despite her rugged past: she is housebroken, crate trained, and behaves beautifully when walked on a leash. Being very relaxed when leashed, she is a joy to hike with or go on long walks. She is also very food motivated and wants to please her humans, so she’s being introduced to sit/down/come commands. Gucci doesn’t mind sleeping in her crate and is quite adaptable.

While being sweet and friendly, Guccy still needs to build her confidence, and her rescuers believe that having another dog in the family would be great for her. She is doing great with her canine sibling in the foster family and having a pooch friend in her new home could really help her blossom. She hasn’t been tested around cats yet and there are no kids in her foster home, so the jury’s out on how Gucci would get along with either.

Gucci is a lovely dog that just needs someone patient and loving to make sure she really breaks out of her shell. If you believe you’re the right person to do it, contact Dog Gone Seattle to learn more about her and how you could be the one to adopt her.
