Adoptable Dog Of The Week – Kiwi

We think that Kiwi is a sweetie – that’s why she’s our Adoptable Dog of the Week! Hailing from Salem, OR, Kiwi is a 3.5-year-old female American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She is already spayed, housetrained, up-to-date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Kiwi’s Story:

Kiwi is around 45 pounds and a perfect “Pocket Pit” size – low to the ground and bulky. We think that she is around 3.5 years old.

Onto the fun stuff: Kiwi is a perfect house dog with great manners. She waits for her food, sits, walks great on a lead and loves to swim. She wants to go anywhere you do but is also happy at home in her crate. She is wonderful with children, good with other dogs, and only just interested in cats (your cat should be dog savvy; if your cat runs, she will chase.). Due to Kiwi’s powerful stature and exuberant nature, we recommend her only for families with dog-savvy children or children over the age of 7. Younger children will be considered upon meeting.

If you are interested in this beautiful, happy, fun-loving girl, you should own your home; have a fenced backyard; and be willing to take her to “How to Be a Good Dog ” classes (they are included in her adoption fee, given by a professional trainer, held in the Salem area, and last 8 weeks).
