Say hello to Roux, our Adoptable Dog of the Week. He is a two-year-old Maltese and Terrier mix from San Diego, California. Roux is already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Roux’s Story:

Roux (Roo) is a two year old, 8 pound male Maltese/Terrier mix. He has fluffy expressive ears that stick straight up or out to the side like bat wings. He gets along with female dogs but does resource guard his human around some male dogs so he would be best as an only dog or the companion of a female dog. He ignores dog-savvy cats, but will chase the cats if they run. This sweet little guy was a matted stray when he was rescued and currently is shaved everywhere except for a crazy shock of hair on his head. Roux will be a long haired fluffy guy and will need regular grooming. Roux is not a barker and is working on house training. He will sleep quietly in a crate at night, but would prefer to cuddle with his human. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. Roux’s adoption fee is $200.
