No excuses – the Best Fit Friend device will make both you and your dog happier and healthier

Was one of your New Year’s resolutions to get in better shape with your dog? Mine was (in fact, you can Oscar and mine’s resolutions), and once all this snow melts, we’ll be hitting the sidewalk for some hardcore walkies. But I often lose motivation, like many, so it would be great to have something that would keep us on track – kind of like MyFitDog’s Best Fit Friend (or BFF for short).

A tech start-up, MyFitDog is in the middle of their Kickstarter product launch of the Best Fit Friend (BFF). The BFF comes as a set of two activity monitors – one for the owner, and the other for their dog. The device tracks the movement and intensity of you and your dog. You can set goals and create workout plans for you and your furry workout partner.

Your daily activity is transferred directly to your cell phone, where from there you can link up with other MyFitDog enthusiasts through the MyFitDog app (which is free). Friends can then help keep you accountable to meeting your goals, as well as encourage you when you’re doing well.

You can help back this project on MyFitDog’s Kickstarter Page, which runs until Friday, February 7, 2014. Donations start at $1, but there are different pledge levels that get you shirts and extra BFF devices. You can learn more on MyFitDog’s Best Fit Friend official website. Plus, we included their cute kickstarter video below – we’re big fans of Cooper (the co-business partner of the company)!
