Boo! Baby Beef Dog Treat Recipe

I love Halloween! The costumes, the candy, the haunted houses, the candy, the Halloween parties, the candy. I don’t know about you, but I dress Oscar up for the holiday (this year, he’s going as Spock from Star Trek), and I want him to have his own Halloween treats. And that’s where the Boo! Baby Beef Dog Treat Recipe comes in. I used a beef baby food to add into the recipe to give it a beef boost. And since it’s already pureed, I didn’t have to pull out the food processor to beat the beef into a smooth, gooey mess. What a time saver!

Boo! Baby Beef Dog Treat Recipe

Makes about 30 treats

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups whole wheat flour

1/3 cup wheat bran

1/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder

1 egg

1 tablespoon brewers’ yeast

1 (3.5 ounce) jar pureed beef baby food

1/4 cup beef broth

Directions:

Now when pooches come to your door all dressed up for trick or treating, you’ll have a homemade treat to give them (because no one wants the dog to leave a smelly “treat” on your lawn!).
