Gee, This Dog Sure Is Nosey! [Video]

They say two heads are better than one, but what two… noses?

Staff at an animal shelter in Tulare County, California, were in for the shock of their lives this week when a local resident brought in a stray dog she’d found on a country road.

It might sound like just your average day at the shelter, but this was no average dog. The young pup, a Border Collie mix, had two noses!

Yes, you read that right.

Shelter workers say they’ve never seen a pup quite like this one (and we bet you haven’t, either). He also isn’t microchipped, so they’re unsure if he’s an actual stray or if he may have accidentally wandered away from a loving home.

The nosey pooch appears to have been born with the abnormality and it doesn’t seem to affect his breathing, eating or drinking in any way. In every other way, he looks and acts like your average happy-go-lucky dog.

Paula Medoza, who works at the shelter, says he’s incredibly friendly, lovable and loves to play fetch. Should they need to adopt him out, he’d make a great family dog.

For now, this fuzzy cutie pie is spending his days with his best shelter buddy, a terrier mix, and while shelter workers can’t officially name him just yet, Mendoza thinks he’d make a good “Toby”.

The shelter will wait until next Monday to see if anyone comes forward to claim this little snuffer. If not, he will be up for adoption early next week.

Raise your paw if you’d like to see this guy back with a loving family as soon as possible!

Also, be sure to watch the video below to see “Two-Nosed Toby” in action.

SO. CUTE.
