GrandMoe’s Woof-Tacular Dog Treats Recipe

Oscar loves his GrandMoe (That’s my Mum, Maureen or Moe for short). And I think he loves her so much because she spoils him. One of the many ways she spoils him is by making him a batch of her special Woof-Tacular Dog Treats. These are his favorite. I break them up and put them in a puzzle ball when I leave for work, which usually keeps him busy for a good 30 minutes. And these treats are pretty crunchy, which means he has to work on them for a while. I like the fact that the crunchiness helps clean his teeth. Bake up a batch and your dog will love you as much as Oscar loves his GrandMoe.

GrandMoe’s Woof-Tacular Dog Treats Recipe

Makes 30-40 cookies

Ingredients:

2 tbsp chicken stock, dissolved

1 ½ cups warm water

2 eggs

1 cup shredded cheese

2 1/2 cups flour (any type)

1 cup wheat germ

1 cup cornmeal

1 cup whole rolled oats

1 tsp garlic powder

½ cup instant nonfat milk powder

2 tbsp Molasses

*Optional: feel free to add in scraps of leftover meat (cut up into small pieces) or dry kibble
