Valentine’s Day is a few weeks away and I went a little overboard at the baking supply store. I got a few new cookie cutters I couldn’t wait to try out, and this Bits of Bacon Dog Treat Recipe seemed like the perfect dough to cut into. And besides, nothing says love to dogs like a bit of bacon! Oscar loved his XO cookies and he wanted me to share the love with all of you!

Bits of Bacon Dog Treat Recipe

Makes 40 medium-sized cookies

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

1/2 cup powdered milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon wheat bran

3 strips bacon, crumbled

1 egg

1 cup beef broth
