Now here’s a wonderful story about a boy and his dog that will leave you misty eyed and smiling from ear to ear. Meet Owen Howkins and his Anatolian Shepherd, Haatchi. Their bond was instant from the moment they met and their relationship has been captured in a documentary titled “A Boy and His Dog.”

Owen suffers from Schwartz-Jampel Syndrome, a rare disorder that leaves his muscles in a permanent state of tension. He was scared of the outside world before Haatachi came along. Owen’s stepmother Colleen Drummond found the dog on Facebook via a London animal shelter. Haatachi had been found tied to railway tracks. He had been hit by a train, and because of his injuries, he lost his leg and his tail. But when Colleen brought him home, Owen and Haatachi connected instantly.

Now, Owen is no longer afraid to leave his home. “I feel really happy,” says Owen. “He changed my life. I’m not scared of strangers now.”

You have to watch the whole video to understand how much the two mean to each other. What a wonderful story with a happy ending. You can watch the video below.
