Dogs and chocolate don’t mix… but people and Bitchfix chocolate do! Ten percent of every delectable purchase at Bitchfix goes toward valuable spaying and neutering programs.

Want to binge on chocolate this Valentine’s Day and help the shelter overpopulation problems? Bitchfix wants to put an end to our bitching as well as stop the continuous flow of animals to shelters with their hand-crafted confections. Bonbons for you and money for programs to help reduce the euthanization of 2.5 million shelter dogs every year – yep, that’s something we can get on board with!

Heed the chocolate call! Do your part by sampling the delicious-looking concoctions from Bitchfix chocolates! And catering to its key demographic, Bitchfix’s whole campaign is all about soothing the human female’s fervor for chocolate during “that time of the month”, while highlighting the plighting of overrun shelters. Ten per cent of every purchase will go towards programs that spay and neuter dogs to keep their pups off the street – it’s not like we’d ever need another reason to buy chocolate, but hey, we’re glad we’re make a difference!

Back to those chocolates: if you think decadent little bonbons and truffles do absolutely nothing while we’re miserable during that time of the month, think again! According to Bitchfix’s chief executive Colette Brooks, there have been studies showing that the consumption of chocolate increases serotonin activity in the brain. Because our mood, appetite, sleep, memory and even sexual desire can be affected by the amount of serotonin in the brain, it’s no wonder that chocolate “works like a charm” to make us feel happier overall.

Now, while some of us absolutely require the sweet, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate during PMSing, the rest of us may really care for chocolate during that time….but would really like to try flavors like “Bitch Gone Nuts” or “You Salty Bitch”. Okay, now that you mention it, “G-Spot”, “Bitch in Heat” and “Hormonal Harmony” sound pretty genius too. Actually, they all look pretty appetizing now that I think about it…

If you’re as indecisive as I am, you’ll be happy to know that for $39, you can subscribe to Bitchfix and get hand-delivered chocolates to your doorstep every 30 days (why not 28 days like actual cycles? Never mind…). You’ll receive a curated collection of artisan chocolates every month to quash those crazy, cocoa cravings – or eat some chocolate, just because! You don’t need a reason to treat yourself!

Bitchfix also has Bitch Bites, Batons, Balls, Bark (double pun!) and Bars. Once again, if you simply cannot choose, there is a nifty bag called the “Bitch Starter Kit.” For $65, you can have a little bit of everything, plus a reusable Bitchfix canvas tote and a rhinestone tiara! (Full disclosure: Yes, I’ll probably try and crown my dog. No, she won’t love it as much as I do.)

Right now, delivery through the online store is only available in California and select states (NV, AZ, NM, UT, CO, ID, OR, WA). However, we reached out to Bitchfix and they assured us that they’re currently working on making their chocolates available throughout the U.S.
