Can you keep up with Broyles, our Adoptable Dog of the Week? Broyles is an adult male Weimaraner mix from Des Moines, IA (currently being fostered in Pawnee, OK). He is already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Broyles’ Story:

Broyles is a beautiful blue 70 lbs. boy, approximately 2 years old. He is current on all vaccinations, and is extremely healthy. He has a full tail, and very likely is a cross with another short hair breed. He is a wonderful dog that enjoys the indoors as well as the outdoors. He is quick, smart, and interested in his surroundings. He has a natural curiosity for small creatures, so he will not be placed in a home with cats. He loves to play, especially with rubber balls, or strangely enough, rubber chickens. Broyles is an energetic boy who will need an active family who can provide regular daily exercise.

He has learned to sit, and lay. He has been introduced to the lead and the “heel” command and is progressing in these commands. Broyles can still be a little jumpy at times and will need to learn to control himself around small children. Crate training is still a work in progress.

Broyles’ current foster home has two other Weimaraners and one other large dog, and a small Jack Russell. Although the Jack Russell is the boss, Broyles holds his ground with the other dogs. His temperament is excellent. He enjoys going for rides in the truck, and loads up at the slightest open door.
