Get ready to fall in love in 3…2…1! Meet Chester, our Adoptable Dog of the Week. This adorable fellow is 2 years old, lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is a Skye Terrier/Papillon Mix. Chester is already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Chester’s Story:

This tiny little guy was found as a stray wandering in the country all alone. We are absolutely baffled how he ended up there and no one seemed to be looking for him. He was taken into the city shelter by the Good Samaritan who found him hoping that his owner would come for him. Three weeks passed, and no owner came forward.

Poor Chester became so stressed in the noisy shelter environment that he didn’t pass their behavioral test and they deemed him ‘unadoptable.’ All he needed was out of the shelter environment, into the hands of a loving foster, and he has blossomed. From the moment he walked out of the shelter, he let out a big sigh of relief, and never looked back.

Chester bonds very quickly to his person. He is startled by lots of noise and doesn’t appreciate being tugged on, so small children probably aren’t a good fit for him. He would love a quiet home where he can rest comfortably on a lap or basking in the sunshine. We are grateful for the opportunity to save him – he deserves a chance at a happy life, which is exactly what we have promised him!
