Adoptable Dog of the Week- Google

Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Google, a charming 9 years old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Dachshund mix from Washoe Valley, Nevada. This cute little fella is neutered, housetrained, and up to date on his vaccinations. Google would do best in an adult only home- he does get along with other dogs, but only if they are easy-going and independent as he is.

Google’s Tale

Don’t let all the cuteness and fluffiness fool you: Google doesn’t want to be a pampered lapdog- he’d much rather be an adventurer! (OK, OK, he’ll accept pampering, but without the lapdog part.) While this cutie pie is very sweet and affectionate, he’s not one to be a snuggler. He’d much rather go with you on a walk, explore his surroundings or chill with you inside- Google’s not a needy velcro dog. As long as he gets to do his own thing, he’ll be happy. His rescuers describe Google as a “mature, wise, and a dog that knows what he wants.”

Google is a very clean boy, and he’s fully housetrained. You won’t have to go through potty training and different stages of teaching manners when you adopt this adorable senior. He already knows how to be on his best behavior! Also, don’t let the label ‘senior’ fool you- Google is in his best years, and he has many great years ahead of him- hopefully, as a part of someone’s family.

When it comes to his friendliness, Google is a mellow, laid-back pooch who will give everyone a chance. However, he is not a good match for families with children or cats. If you have a dog, Google could become great friends with them, as long as they have a sweet nature or are as independent as he is. Their personalities have to “click”! If you think that you could offer Google the perfect life he deserves to have, contact Canine Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary for more information.
