Say hello to Normandy, our Adoptable Dog of the Week from Adoptapet.com. Normandy is a young male Labrador Retriever and Shar Pei mix from San Diego, CA. He is already neutered, housetrained, and good with dogs.

Normandy’s Story:

Talk about an irresistible face! Our boy Normandy may be a bit on the shy and bashful side, but he makes up for it with his sweetness. We rescued Normandy and a few of his French group buddies from San Bernardino County in January and he has proven himself to be a great addition to the temporary barking family. He can be a little timid upon first meeting, but he warms up to you as soon as you spend some time with him and he can see what you’re all about. Normandy is great with other dogs and spends most of his time at TBL in the company of his best friends and roommates Alsace and Savoy. The three of them plus two new furry friends Acapella and Kringle recently accompanied volunteers on a group hike to Cowles Mountain and the physical activity helped Normandy come out of his shell more than ever. He was a great hiking buddy and was friendly toward passing hikers whether two or four legged. He was easy on the leash and didn’t pull at all both going up and back down the mountain. We have reasons to believe he is already housetrained because he waits for us to take him out to use the bathroom facilities in the morning. Normandy is a solid medium-sized pup of around 45 pounds and is estimated to be around 2 years of age.
