Do you have a spot in your heart for this spotted beauty? Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Rocki, a 2 and a half years old mixed breed pooch from Shelburne, Vermont. This lovely 38-pound girl is vetted, spayed, and microchipped. She loves hanging out with other dogs and would love a furry roommate, but would prefer a home with older or no children.

Rocki’s Tale

The lovely Rocki is a sweet, gentle soul that is a bit on the shy side and she needs a patient and compassionate adopters that will support her while she builds up her confidence. A great way to make sure Rocki blossoms into a fantastic pooch is to let her learn from other pooches- she loves other dogs and has been doing great by simply observing the behavior of her dog friends in her foster home. She is a bit introverted and shy but it seems that having a furry friend in her home helps her feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. In a nutshell, if you’re already a dog mom or dad and want to introduce a new member to your family, Rocki is a great choice.

She is crate trained, loves car rides, and walks well on a leash- a truly well-behaved doggo. Rocki hasn’t exhibited a prey drive, so she might be a good match for a feline-owning family, but you should check first to make sure. Kids are also OK with Rocki, as long as they are respectful and gentle. Young children might not be a good fit as their energy and rambunctious behavior could only hamper Rocki’s road to confidence.

If you are looking for a friendly, sweet, and beautiful dog, look no further than Rocki. For more information about this cute pooch and how to adopt her, contact Passion 4 Paws.
