Adoptable Dog Of The Week – Tara

Meet Tara, our Adoptable Dog of the Week from Adoptapet.com. She is a 1-year-old Papillon Mix from Milpitas, CA. Tara is already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Tara’s Story:

Tara is an adorable 15 pound, 1 year old Papillon mix. She came to our rescue out of a bad situation and is learning to trust humans again. She now loves to give kisses and snuggle with her foster parents. But she needs a gentle, quiet, adult only home (no kids!). She does well in a crate and also on a leash. She has been doing great with her foster mom’s other dogs, both large and small, but hasn’t lived with a cat so we do not know how she would do. She was found on the street with her mother Abby, but is doing fine being in a separate foster home, so they do not need to be adopted together. She is housebroken with a consistent schedule. She knows some basic commands and would benefit from continued training with positive reinforcement in order to build her confidence. If you are looking for a sweet, wonderful, forever friend, she is the girl for you.
