Please say hello to Xena, our Adoptable Dog of the Week from Adoptapet.com. Xena is a 6-year-old female Labrador Retriever/Shepherd Mix from Philadelphia, PE. She is I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Xena’s Story:

Xena was rescued in December from a shelter in New Jersey where she was a stray. She is estimated to be about 6 years old. She has probably not been blind her whole life and is slowly losing her vision. She plays well with her foster family’s dog and seems to get along well with the kids. She can be timid and shy due to her blindness. She does tend to be submissive with most people. She is very frightened of thunder storms and needs reassurance. She would be best suited in a home with someone who has a bit of free time to spend with her. She does not like spending long periods alone due to her fears and anxiety.
