Don’t want to travel solo on your tropical vacation? Bring your pooch – the Four Seasons offers dog-friendly, 5-star resort relaxation.

When you book a tropical vacation to somewhere like Mexico, you usually need to be mindful of where your furry friend is going to spend those few days while you’re gone soaking up the sun during your vacation. This is because most exotic resorts don’t allow pets.

Fortunately, thanks to the rise in pet popularity over the years, the Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita, Mexico has made a point of including your furry child in your vacation by creating a pet program called Best Friend’s Paradise to make every pooch feel pampered.

“We are delighted to welcome our four-legged friends to paradise with an exciting pet program that offers a mix of convenience and pleasure for guests who love to travel with their pets,” said John O’Sullivan, General Manager Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. “With our new pet program, even dogs can experience the best of Punta Mita, from surfing and fresh tacos to indulgent pedicures and relaxing siestas.”

Prior to arrival, a pet concierge will make sure that your dog has everything they need to make their stay a delightful one. Dogs will receive a welcome kit which includes treats, toys, a water bowl and a bed to make sure they have a good night’s rest (plus, this means you don’t have to bring your own – more room for bikinis!)

Forget to bring your own kibble or dog food? The Four Season’s has got you covered in this department, too! If you’re scarfing down five-star-quality cuisine, why should you dog settle for anything less if they’re vacation?! Guests can treats their four-legged friends to food from the pet dining menu which features peanut cupcake and whole wheat pumpkin cookie, or you can opt for something heartier such as a 4 oz. tenderloin and seared Angus meatloaf with steamed asparagus.

The Four Seasons also has plenty of programs which include your dog such as yoga classes and stand-up paddle boarding and surfing lessons in the Bay of Banderas aptly named “Paws Up.” You can also have your dog experience a relaxing in-room pet massage or have them looking posh by giving them a puppy pedicure. Other pet amenities include doggy beach cabanas and pet pools (in case your dog is mortified by the ocean waves). For a little extra, you can also have services such as pet walking and pet sitting.

Of course, none of these awesome amenities are free – a supplemental fee of $100 per night per pet guest is added on your bill. If you think about it, that’s still less than the price of a human person in this particular resort. But if your human company bores you or just can’t seem to fit with your lifestyle, this pet program ensures both you and your dog will have the best vacation ever – no other persons needed.
