DynaTrap Keeps Mosquitoes and Other Pesky Pests Away From Your Furbaby

This nifty device traps pesky insects, including mosquitoes, who can do a world of harm to your pet, such as infecting them with heartworm.

I think I speak for all of the humankind when I say that mosquitos are the absolute worst. Their incessant buzzing and the irritating bites that keep on itching would test the patience of a saint. The airborne bloodsuckers are not just pesky, though: they can transmit numerous diseases, both to us and our pets. For instance, if an infected mosquito bites a dog, it can infest them with larvae of a parasitic roundworm, better known as heartworm or Dirofilaria immitis. Without proper and timely treatment, heartworm disease can lead to severe health complications and even be fatal for dogs.

That’s why DynaTrap devices could be an excellent tool for any pet parent’s arsenal. These insect and mosquito traps are free of pesticides, chemicals, and odor, which makes them 100% safe to be used around pets and their human companions. The way this insect trap works is pretty simple: it attracts insects with a UV light and CO2, only for the pesky pests to be sucked in the retaining cage by the device’s silent fan. Here’s how it looks in action:

Pretty cool, right? DynaTrap is not only efficient when it comes to mosquitoes, but with various other creepy crawlies that bother our fur babies and us. It will catch deer and horse flies, black flies, moths, beetles and many other insects (except beneficial pollinators). All you need to do is plug it in and routinely empty the retaining cage where all the dead bugs are (yuck!), and that’s all.

DynaTrap comes in various shapes and sizes, from sleek and modern FlyLight for indoor use to impressive and stylish devices from the Sonata series meant for outdoor use (some of them cover a full acre). You can see all the different models on DynaTrap website.

However, while this device can certainly make life easier for pet parents and eliminate the dangerous pests from the environment, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give your pooch heartworm preventative as well. Even one sneaky mosquito can do irreparable damage to your dog, so make sure you do everything you can to keep your four-legged companion protected from the infected bloodsuckers.
