DIY Dog Treat Filled Ornaments

Couture dog collars can be positioned with the flower on either side of your dog’s neck, on top of the neck area or underneath, where the dog tags are positioned. It all depends on your dog’s toleration for the decoration.

Silk flowers come in a variety of sizes and colors. You can go wild and have a different color or style on a daily basis. The flower used here was purchased from the dollar store!

Always keep a close eye on your dog when she is wearing the flower – she should never wear it when she’s by herself. If you notice your dog scratching at it or trying to remove it, remove it from your dog’s collar. Some dogs will succeed in removing the flower and it can become a choking hazard. Use silk flowers, as your dog is less likely to think it’s a toy.

Most dog owners enjoy sprucing their dog’s appearance up by dressing them in vibrant adorable outfits. DIY dog collar couture is an excellent option for pets who don’t like to play dress up. If you find that your dog doesn’t seem to be bothered by the silk flower, you can choose to attach as many as you wish, using the same steps listed above.

You can choose to put just one large flower or you can line a few smaller flowers along the collar for a subtle pop of color and decoration. These DIY couture dog collars are perfect for studio portraits, stunning photographs or a special occasion. Let creativity be your guide for this doggy do-it-yourself project!
