The feline-tastic book that will make your summer contains hundreds of cat motifs and easy-to-follow instructions on how to stitch them yourself.

There’s nothing that pairs better with being a crazy cat lady than crafts. And I would know: I have 10 cats and love to sew, knit, and crochet (and I’m not your grandma, I swear). This summer, I was hoping to improve my pretty rudimentary embroidery skills, and I’ve found the purrrfect book to motivate me- Cat Lady Embroidery: 380 Ways to Stitch a Cat.

The book of kitty patterns was created by a group of amazing artists, and, as the name suggests, contains 380 motifs of all things feline to keep you stitching all summer long. Possibly even longer than that, especially if you are a beginner like I am.

I was lucky enough to be able to take a peek at a digital review edition of the book, and let me tell you, it’s going to wow every crazy cat lady. Seriously, even if I weren’t crafty, I’d start learning how to stitch just to have stuff with kitty-inspired appliques like those from the project inspiration gallery:

You’ll find patterns of cats in all styles and situations to embroider on your favorite tote, t-shirt, slippers… Basically, everything you own. And, to make it super customizable for every proud kitty parent, they’ve included dozens of different breeds from Persians to Ragdolls and Maine Coons, as well as domestic kitties with coats of all colors. Depending on the specific project, as well as your skill set, you’ll find an embroidery pattern for anything from a cat version of the alphabet to realistic pet portraits.

If your fingers are itching for some stitching after reading this, head on over to Amazon to preorder Cat Lady Embroidery: 380 Ways to Stitch a Cat– the paperback is to be released July 3, 2018!
