Tomato Juice Dog Treat Recipe

Here’s a new ingredient I’ve never used in a dog treat before – Tomato Juice! I wasn’t too sure about it at first, but this Tomato Juice Dog Treat Recipe turned out wonderfully. The dough was a bit dense, but the cookies came out perfect! They are hard, so your dog has to work at it. Hard treats are great for dental health, as they remove soft plaque from teeth.

Tomato Juice Dog Treat Recipe

Makes about 35 large cookies

Ingredients:

3 1/4 cups whole wheat flour

1 1/12 cups wheat bran

1 cup cornmeal

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 cup rye flour

1/2 cup dry milk powder

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

2 cups tomato juice
