My ears are up and I’m ready to hear what a handsome boy I am! Our Adoptable Dog of the Week is Pete, a 4-year-old Miniature Schnauzer mix from Millersville, Maryland. This cutie is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Pete gets along with other dogs and cats, so he can fit right in a multi-pet household.

Pete’s Tale

This adorable little pooch didn’t have the best luck in the world, but he’s hoping it will all change now. Pete is more than ready to give his heart to a deserving family! He is housebroken, walks well on the leash, and he’s a well-mannered friendly pooch. You won’t have to teach this pooch how to behave in the park or when alone at home, because he already knows how to be a good boy. Pete also loves hanging out with his humans, and snuggles and cuddles are one of his favorite pastimes.

However, owing to his closeness to people, Pete can experience some anxiety when left alone, manifested with whining and barking. Luckily, he’s been gaining more confidence so he doesn’t make a fuss for long. It helps when he has a spot of his own to retreat to, so cozy bed or a chair will be all it takes for him to wait happily for your return.

A friendly, loving dog, Pete doesn’t keep his sweetness reserved for his peeps alone. He gets along with other sweet-natured and sociable dogs, and he’s also good with cats. In a nutshell, Pete has A LOT of love to give, he’s just missing that special someone. If you think that your family is the right match for this gorgeous little guy, be sure to contact Homeward Bound Schnauzer Rescue for more information.
