You know you’re a pet parent when the dog has a nicer bed than you do! The mattress company best-known for making human beds turns its attention to redefining a good night’s sleep for pups.

What’s made of high-density memory foam, hypoallergenic and brand new to the dog market?

Oh, just the coolest dog bed around.

No, really.

Casper’s mattress company was founded in 2014, and happily satisfied customers started sending pictures of their dogs sleeping comfortably on the new mattresses. Inspired by those pup pictures, Casper co-founder and CEO Phillip Krim said, “We immediately realized that our mission to provide a better night’s sleep for everyone should also include our dogs.” Can we say how much we love that?

Casper’s original line (you know, the one for humans) was designed to meet four specific criteria: comfort, support, temperature, and durability. As its award-winning mattresses (again, for humans) are quite reasonably priced (ranging from $500-$950), creating the line for dogs was a bit more of a challenge for the company because they wanted to maintain superior product comfort and price point. While extensive development, testing and feedback from focus groups helped shape the perfect human mattress, Casper co-founder and Chief Product Officer Jeff Chapin said those things were not reliable as, “Dogs… tend to be less verbal.” Ba dum dum!

Instead, the company studied sleep patterns, analyzed dog fur interaction with different textiles and even brought in a dog psychologist to learn more about canine behavior and sleep patterns! The result? A bed fit for a prince, er, a pooch!

The mattress comes in three sizes (and colors!) to help meet individual needs, and ranges from $125-$225 in price. The best part, though? Caspar is so sure your pup will love his or her new sleep spot that they offer a 100-day trial. That’s right…order it, let Fluffy give it the old college try for 100 days, and if it’s not the best thing your dog has ever slept on, they’ll take it back and refund your money! If you’re interested, it’s available for purchase on Casper’s website.

So, while we believe that it’s true that every dog should have his day…we think you’ll agree that every dog should have his lay too. And this mattress was made for that!
