DoggoRamps Keeps Your Pet Safe From Back Injuries

This collapsible and adjustable dog ramp enables small breed dogs to get on and off the bed safely.

Unfortunately, spinal trauma is a common issue with small dogs, particularly Dachshunds. These adorable short-legged doggos are even more susceptible to back injury than your average small breed pooch, and it’s a serious issue: many dogs end up fully or partially paralyzed. After his own dog, Crusoe, underwent spinal surgery for a blown disc, Ryan Beauchesne decided to design a ramp that would ensure his Doxie doesn’t get hurt again.

DoggoRamps is a fully adjustable, collapsible, and lightweight ramp for small dogs. Its primary function is to help pooches get onto and off beds easily and safely, as jumping on or off high furniture is one of the main reasons why dogs end up with a spinal injury in the first place.

While some dogs are perfectly fine with using steps or pet staircases to climb to a bed, Doxies are a different story. Up to a quarter of Dachshunds are affected by intervertebral disc disease, which makes their long backs particularly prone to injuries. Some other breeds that suffer from this degenerative back issue include Bulldogs, Basset Hounds, Beagles, Corgis, Cocker Spaniels, Pekingese, Shih-Tzus, and Poodles.

As DoggoRamps is a fully adjustable dog ramp, it makes for a smooth “climb” to your bed, that won’t put any additional stress on your pet’s back. This ramp is lightweight but sturdy enough to support any pet under 30 lbs of weight. This actually makes the ramp suitable for various dog breeds and not just Doxies, for which it was initially designed. With this in mind, it’s not a huge surprise that this innovative product for small dogs has been all the rage on Indiegogo- in less than a month, it’s been 3043% funded. If you’re a proud pawrent to a small pooch who likes to join you on the sofa or bed, make sure to check out this campaign!
