When the puck drops this season, make sure your dog is sporting the blue and white colors of the Maple Leafs! Toronto loves its Maple Leafs, and now pet parents can share that Leaf Nation pride with their dogs thanks to Petsmart’s exclusive Leaf Line.

Hey Leafs fans! (And we know there are a lot of you out there!)

PetSmart just announced that they have partnered with the Toronto Maple Leafs as the first and exclusive retailer for pet apparel – because you know as soon as the puck drops, your dog will chase it!

Pets and their humans can share in their Leafs Love (and snazzy wardrobe choices), while they root for their fave NHL team (and boo the Canucks and Sens). It also marks the first official professional hockey team collaboration with a pet retailer, and the two aim to offer lots of fun, furry fan opportunities for Leafs fans!

PetSmart Canada President John DeFranco shared his desire to allow pet parents to share in all the Leafs love with their dogs with fun and fashionable pet apparel, and offering chances to win exciting prizes like Leafs tickets (and you know how hard those tickets are to come by). DeFranco believes that Leafs fans (human and canine alike!) will now have the opportunity to participate in fun events and interact with the Leafs like they haven’t been able to before (fingers crossed for a doggy day on the ice at the Air Canada Centre with the team).

Some of the exclusive gear lined up as part of this partnership includes the highest quality team swag to ever hit the dog park. Leafs fans can buy official jerseys and bandanas licensed by the NHL, at the Toronto Maple Leafs Store on the concourse level at the Air Canada Centre, and of course at select PetSmart stores and online.

To help celebrate this power play, PetSmart is looking for the ultimate canine Toronto Maple Leafs fan! Starting October 24, take a picture of your pets showing why he or she is a super Maple Leafs fan. Upload pictures to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag or submit pictures directly to PetSmart contest page online. Winners will be judged on creativity and originality, and have the chance to win home game tickets through January 6, 2017. Furry winners will also have the chance to be featured on a PetSmart-branded rink board located at centre ice in the ACC.

In November, PetSmart and the Leafs will promote pet adoption, encouraging people to adopt, not shop, when looking to add a furry family member. The November 11, 2016 and February 18th, 2017 home games will feature videos of some of the most adorable faces of alumni pets adopted through PetSmart Charities of Canada’s adoption programs. To date, 219,000 pets have found their furever homes thanks to this charity.

Finally, if you’re looking to get your hockey fan something fabulous and fun for the holiday season, Stanley, an adorable stuffed hockey-loving dog, will be available for sale at the ACC during the November 22 game. All purchases of Stanley will be donated to PetSmart Charities of Canada, and they will also accept donations of purchased Stanley dogs to donate to the MLSE Foundation, whose mission is to change lives through the spirit and power of sports.

The Maple Leaf Dog Jersey, Banana and Stuffed Stanley toy – now that’s a true hockey hound hat trick!
