Newly re-launched wine brand pairs dog lovers with a vintage that helps rescue shelters and dogs in need

Whether you’re toasting to your pooch’s health or whooping it up with fellow pet parents, Chateau La Paws is the perfect vintage for dog lovers. Yep, you read it right – there’s a bottle of wine that’s made for dog people. But this beverage does more than get you tipsy. It’s wine with a great purpose – one that supports rescue dogs.

Brought to you by the grape aficionados of Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines (DC&E), Chateau La Paws Wine is available in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Red Wine Blend to ensure you have a pairing for every meal. However, it’s not meant to go kibble, this wine is for humans only. But dogs do benefit from this vintage – DC&E have partnered with North Shore Animal League America (NSALA), the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization.

Together, they’ll help the thousands of rescue dogs across the country find fur-ever homes. In this effort, the winemaker has donated $100,000 to NSALA’s Tour for Life. This program funds mobile rescue and adoption units that travel to cities across America, partnering with local shelters to encourage and facilitate adoptions. This year is Tour for Life’s 15th anniversary, and it will team with 40 organizations and 26 cities across the country from March through May.

If you’re like me, you’ll want to run out and buy a bottle immediately. The great news is that they’ll be easy to find on the shelves – each bottle of Chateau La Paws Wine is wrapped with an adorable NSALA rescue dog label. The photos for the label were taken by acclaimed photographer and “Shake” author, Carli Davidson, who worked with animal behaviorist Amanda Giese to capture each dog’s personality.

There are 12 different labels to choose from, so you’ll want to stock your wine cellar with the whole collection (well, at least I do). And I could go on about the wines’ “flavorful portfolio of distinct fruit notes” that will dance on your palate, but seriously, I’m buying Chateau La Paws Wine for the dog labels. Okay, and quite possibly to drink… but I’m keeping the empty bottles! Seriously, all three of the wines sound absolutely delicious, and a hard working Editor of a pet site needs to unwind at the end of a dog-eat-dog kinda day!

The Chateau La Paws Wine will be available nationwide at $12.99 for a 750 mL bottle starting this month. You can read more about it on the Chateau La Paws website or follow the cause on their Facebook page.
