For a snack that’s paw-lickin’ good, you’ve got to try this Crispy Chicken Dog Treat. No dog can resist the temptation of chicken… and why would he? Chicken is a wonderful source of protein for your dog’s diet. And this recipe adds in a few more things your dog will love, such as sweet potato and egg. And there’s even a hint of garlic (in case you’re worried about feeding your dog garlic, please read The Shocking Truth About Dogs and Garlic article).

Why Is Chicken Good For My Dog?

Check out the main ingredient in tons of different dog foods out there. It’s chicken. Why is that? Well, chicken is a lean meat and high protein source that gives our dogs a big boost of energy and health without adding extra fats and calories they don’t need. It’s a great ingredient for treats for just that reason–lean protein that you don’t have to feel guilty about giving as a treat.

It’s a main ingredient because of how it gives dogs lean muscle mass. Poultry in general is rich in Omega 6 fatty acids that are good for your dog’s coat and skin and chicken helps promote bone health because it’s an incredible source of essential amino acids and glucosamine (yep, that stuff we give to dogs — and humans — who have bone and joint issues). All in a natural protein.

Dried and diced chicken makes an INCREDIBLE high-value treat if you’re going training with your best friend, and it’s a main ingredient in foods because dogs love the taste.

What About Sweet Potato For Dogs?

Dogs can eat sweet potatoes and they love these superfoods! They’re root vegetables and they’re full of health benefits for your dog. They’re high in magnesium and fiber, which add to your dog’s gut health (and overall immune health). Sweet potatoes as an ingredient will give your dogs additional Vitamins C and A, as well as antioxidants and carotenoids.
