I’ve never thrown Oscar a birthday party or baked him a birthday cake. Now that he’s turning four, I think it’s about time that we celebrated. I went all out – birthday hats, party favors and presents. But the best part had to be the cake (you can say that it took the cake!) This uber-easy dog birthday cake recipe is simple to make, contains all-natural and healthy ingredients and is totally delish (according to Oscar).

Party-Down Dog Birthday Cake Recipe

Makes 1 cake

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 cup shredded carrots

1/3 cup honey

1 egg

1 cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 cup natural peanut butter

Frosting:

3 tbsp spreadable cream cheese

2/3 cup pumpkin puree or peanut butter (or 1/3 of each!)

Directions:

As you can tell from the pictures, Oscar loves this dog birthday cake recipe and can’t wait to turn five next year. Many happy returns buddy!
